Already earning acclaim around the world, the exciting new music director of the Baltimore Symphony, Jonathon Heyward, joins TFO to conduct Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4, featuring Vadim Gluzman. He’ll take audiences to the famous Fountains of Rome by Respighi and On the Waterfront Symphonic Suite by Leonard Bernstein. Kicking off the concert is Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres), which composer Missy Mazzoli describes as “music in the shape of a solar system, a collection of rococo loops that twist around each other within a larger orbit.”

Bonus! For every Masterworks concert, Michael Francis has personally chosen a surprise “mystery piece” to enhance the live experience. What will it be this weekend?

PRE-CONCERT CONVERSATIONS: Get the real story behind the composers and their music, straight from the conductor and guest soloists. Starts one hour before each Masterworks concert in the theater. Included free with each concert ticket.
