Founder of the Apollo’s Fire Baroque Orchestra, Sorrell opens with Handel’s effervescent suites from the Water Music, balanced by Mozart’s Overture to Marriage of Figaro. Haydn’s storm-and-stress Overture to The Uninhabited Island follows before the concert wraps up with Mozart’s percolating ballet music from Idomeneo.
