THEATER ETIQUETTE/LATE SEATING
Please turn off all cellular phones and beepers upon entering the Theater. Please plan on arriving at least 45 minutes before event time. As a courtesy to our guests and performers, latecomers will be seated at the management’s discretion.
The Duke Energy Center for the Arts – The Mahaffey is proud to comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act. We offer accessible parking, curb cuts and ramps for easy access, Theater seating to accommodate wheelchairs and companions, accommodations for sight impaired patrons, handicapped accessible restrooms, and assisted listening devices (available at the Theater Concierge Desk). A photo ID and refundable deposit are required at time of use for assisted listening devices.
If you have a special need, please inform your ticket sales associate when purchasing tickets. If you have questions or need further information, please call the Box Office at (727) 892-5721. We will gladly assist you in making any arrangements needed to ensure that your visit is enjoyable.
CAMERAS & RECORDING DEVICES
The use of cameras or recording devices of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the Theater.
The reselling of tickets on theater property (including social media pages) is against venue policy. Be advised that Security is instructed to remove ticket sellers from the property during performances.
We are committed to providing a safe, secure environment for our patrons and performers. Guests attending Theater events should be advised that all persons entering the Theater and their belongings are subject to search. Bags larger than 12″x12″, backpacks, packages, briefcases, cameras, recording and electronic devices are not permitted inside the Theater.
No weapons are allowed on the premises, this includes pocket knives.
The Mahaffey Theater is not able to accept any gifts on behalf of our performers.
No outside food or drinks* (including alcoholic beverages, cans, bottles or water bottles) are allowed inside the venue. Light refreshments are available for purchase.
Patrons bringing such items into the theater will be required to return them to their vehicles. We regret that we are unable to check these items at the Theater.

The Theater is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is permitted in the designated smoking patio outside the Theater only.
Recommended Uber/Lyft pickup location is on Bayshore Drive, on the east side of the Theater, near the fountain.
