Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band – Keepin’ the Party Going
For over five decades, Jimmy Buffett and The Coral Reefer Band created the soundtrack to endless summers, salty breezes, and carefree good times. What began in 1973, evolved into one of the most beloved live acts in American music history. Though the legendary Jimmy Buffett passed away in 2023, he left a clear message to“keep the party going.” And that’s exactly what The Coral Reefer Band continues to do—with their heart and soul.
Comprised of world-class musicians and longtime friends, The Coral Reefer Band is led by ten-time CMA Musician of the Year and Grammy-nominated Mac McAnally, a key contributor to Buffett’s legacy both onstage and in the studio. Many of the current members have played together for over 30 years, touring the world across 40+ tours and contributing to more than 30 albums. From co-writing Buffett favorites to McAnally and Michael Utley producing much of his iconic catalog, this band doesn’t just play the music—they helped create it.
Joining Mac McAnally on stage, the all-star lineup features:
Eric Darken on percussion – short list of studio credits include Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Jewel
Robert Greenidge on steel drums – “the happy lad from Trinidad,” as Jimmy loved to say!
“Dangerous” Doyle Grisham, the longest-standing member and pedal steel wizard who began recording with Jimmy in 1972
Roger Guth on drums – band member since 1989 and frequent co-writer
John Lovell on trumpet – has worked with many greats, The O’Jays, Tony Bennett, Ben E. King
Brothers Peter and Jim Mayer on guitar and bass – formerly of pop group P.M. who had a 1988 hit, “Piece of Paradise”
Mick Utley, son of longtime Coral Reefer and music director Michael Utley, on keyboards
The “Reeferettes,” Grammy-nominated as a member of Arrested Development, Nadirah Shakoor, and powerhouse vocalist Tina Gullickson who’s credits include Tori Amos, Bill Medley and John Waite
Also joining as honorary Coral Reefers are two celebrated songwriters and solo artists: Scotty Emerick, known for penning Grammy-nominated hit “Beer for My Horses” and “I Love This Bar,” and Will Kimbrough, also a Grammy nominee and longtime Buffett collaborator and fellow Gulf Coast native.
The Coral Reefer Band delivers more than just a concert—they bring an experience. Whether you’re a lifelong Parrot Head or new to the island state of mind, their shows are a joyful celebration of life, love, and the timeless music that continues to bring people together.
Come escape with Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band—because the party never ends.
