Mon Laferte is one of the most influential voices and creative minds in contemporary Latin American music. A singer-songwriter, producer, and visual artist, she has built a body of work that crosses genres and disciplines with an intense, visceral identity that is constantly evolving.
With multiple Latin GRAMMY Awards, numerous international awards and GRAMMY nominations, global tours, and a commanding stage presence, she has established herself as a fierce narrator of human emotion. Across nine studio albums, her work — ranging from bolero to electronic music and vocal experimentation — coexists with a prolific visual production in painting, photography, and performance art. She has brought her work to emblematic stages and festivals such as Coachella, the Hollywood Bowl,Auditorio Nacional, and the Olympia in Paris, and has performed in iconic venues including Madison Square Garden.
In 2025, she made her musical theater debut portraying Sally Bowles in Cabaret at Teatro Insurgentes, receiving praise for her dramatic strength and stage versatility. Her aesthetic and artistic vision have set trends: artists, designers, and creators consistently find inspiration in her sonic and visual universe. This influence is further amplified through her exhibitions in Chile, Mexico, and the United States, including “Recolectoras. Violeta Parra y Mon Laferte” at MUSA in Guadalajara, as well as in the Netflix documentary Te Amo Mon Laferte, which reveals the complexity and power of her creative process. Today, Mon Laferte stands as a total creative force: an artist who expands the boundaries of the intimate, the political, and the emotional, redefining contemporary artistic expression.
