Wagner: Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde
Joan Tower: Piano Concerto (Homage to Beethoven)
Florent Schmitt: Antoine et Cléopâtre, Suite No. 1
Tchaikovsky: Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy

Love can make you crazy — in the best and worst ways. Led by JoAnn Falletta, this emotional rollercoaster starts with Prelude and Liebestod from Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde, where longing stretches to the breaking point. Then pianist Joyce Yang brings serious fire to Joan Tower’s Piano Concerto (Homage to Beethoven) — a piece that feels bold, restless and completely alive. Florent Schmitt’s Antoine et Cléopâtre adds a dose of drama and heat, setting the stage for the ultimate love story gone off the rails: Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet. Big emotions, sweeping melodies and a sense that love might just ruin everything. Yet, somehow, it’s worth it.
