Award-winning Executive Chef Ted Dorsey has curated an incredible menu featuring “Coastal Cuisine rooted in Southern Hospitality.” Nestled in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, Sonata Restaurant is a harmonious blend of the Three Arts – theater, culinary, and visual. The name, “Sonata,” derives its inspiration from the musical term, signifying a composition that brings together diverse elements in a harmonious way, much like the seamless fusion of flavors, culture, and the arts within our walls.

Step inside Sonata, and you’ll immediately sense the theatrical ambiance. Our dining space is an elegant stage, adorned with captivating artwork from Trish Duggan of Imagine Museum, evoking the vibrant art scene of St. Petersburg. The walls come alive with the work of local artists, their creations changing with the seasons, creating an ever-evolving visual symphony that accompanies your dining experience – all part of a collaboration with the theater, restaurant and visual arts – a vision inspired by Bill Edwards to create a destination for the arts in St. Petersburg.
